Hey ya´ll! Things have been pretty crazy down here! Sorry I haven´t updated this in awhile. We have been going into schools. KA is singing and some of the youth from the church are playing guitar. It´s been good, the first couple days of it was tough. There is not much fruit that you can see, but that´s ok. God works from behind the scenes. Its hard because sometimes we can´t tell if they are laughing at us or something else, but it´s ok. Today was good! We went to a middle school. The kids were horrible at first- rude, didn´t pay attention, could have cared less. They laughed at us and talked the majority of the time. Then KA sang, which was hard, they didn´t listen at all, you could barely hear her singing into a microphone over them. We felt like failures- but God is bigger! Afterwards, the kids asked a ton of questions and came running up to us asking for autographs, ha ha which translated into messages in English about how much God loves them! We got to write them messages about how faithful He is and how much He loves them and would never forsake them. They ran to translators to see what the messages and scripture said and they were sent to Jesus : ) They sat and pondered it too- it was great! Made the whole week! Also, we have been working with Christ for the Nations, the ministry school that Ariela and Jesuan went to. They are here for the weekend. We went to the pool and hung out with them this morning and are going to Rio de Janeiro with them to do minsitry Sunday afternoon- an unexpected trip, so please pray for that. It´s just another testament to God´s faithfulness. He sent us telling us we wouldn´t know what we were doing until we got here, and now He is providing a week full of stuff for us to do! When we get back I think we get to go to an orphanage too and love on some awesome kids- super excited about that! Thanks for all of the prayers. We need them! It has been difficult down here (atleast for me, which is weird, Brazil is my jam!)- the Christ for the Nations group was a huge blessing- seeing A and J and some Americans and getting ot hang out with them was a life saver- the Lord provides and sustains! He knows our hearts! We have been having a hard time fitting in with culture- a lot of things we do in the states is rude down here, ha ha like not wearing shoes, and smelling your food! Ha ha, we got in trouble for smelling our food before we ate it. It smelled good though! But yes, also they are amazed that apparently we don´t shower enough. Brazilians take like 2 to 5 showers a day! It´s crazy! I don´t take that many a week . . . just kidding. So yes, lift us up this upcoming week please! We need the Lord´s direction in Rio, as well as His heavy protection. He has been providing so much! Food, friends, it´s been hard, but He has been good. We are going into a poor area (parents- don´t worry- not the favellas and slums that you were talking about) to work with a mission house giving food and stuff to the poor on Monday and Tuesday. Please lift that up hardcore. God is teaching me a ton- my heart is being pressed into trusting Him completely and knowing His goodness even in the unknown. It´s cool- He is bringing depth and greater intimacy with Him through this! He will bless this! Thanks! Miss everyone in the states and can´t wait to see you guys in June!

Hey guys!
So, we´re in Volta Redonda Brazil! Yay! We were blessed with 1st class on the way over here- which was AWESOME! God has been providing so much in the past few days it´s ridiculous! So many great stories! I was walking out the door before we left the states to go get a journal and I went to my mailbox and someone had mailed me one! Then, like a few hours before we were leaving, someone just handed me $100! And then we got first class- where we had huge comforters, pillows, icecream sundaes, appetizers, an amazing dinner, personal tvs- it was a huge blessing! I just kinda sat there and was like wow- God´s hand is all over this- He just delighted in us, showering us with gifts and His provision to show us how much He loves us. I feel like this whole trip so far has been about trusting Him and stepping out on faith. We have no expectations- and right now don´t even know what we´re doing today. But He has brought us this far and will continue to provide according to His will, whatever that means. Will you pray for us as He presses us further into His trust? It´s going to be interesting here- not knowing the language or really having a means of communicating with anyone back home- besides email. But He does great and unsearchable things when we come to Him, especially in times when we are alone with Him as believers. He will work great things here in Brazil and we can´t wait to see what that means! So far nothing has been as we expected it- which means Jesus is all over it : ) Keep praying for us- for open and loving hearts that are willing to be poured out to Jesus for His glory. Pray for endurance and strength while we are here and that He will be out utmost satisfaction. This is certainly going to be a time of intimacy with Him! Thanks for praying ya´ll and for keeping up with us! Miss everyone!

3 More days . . .

Hey ya'll!
So only about three more days until we leave for Brazil! Everything is coming together pretty well and we're getting excited! In these next few days please continue to pray for the Lord's provision for this trip- we still need some money to live off of while we're there. But He is faithful! He has brought us this far- not on our own strength at all but solely because of His provision- and will continue to be faithful and provide! If He provides all things needed for the birds to survive, He will certainly provide for His daughters : ) And He doesn't leave His work unfinished! Also, please pray for the Lord to go before us and level some mountains. It's going to be tough at first not knowing the language and everything, so please pray that He goes before us and prepares the way for His work. Will you also lift up His protection over us? Please pray for a hedge of protection around us throughout the duration of the trip. It's probably not the safest thing for two 21 year-old girls to go to Brazil for six weeks, but God is faithful! He will not send us without His protection! He is good! Anyway, love ya'll! Thanks so much for the prayers and support! Pray for God's word and truth to be made known, and for fruit! Let's carry His message of freedom and love to those in bondage to the enemy! Yay!
Peace, Whit
